Dry Needling

Healing for painful musculoskeletal conditions

Dry Needling is a form of therapy in which fine needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points (painful muscle knots), tendons and ligaments, as well as near nerves, to stimulate a healing response for those suffering from painful musculoskeletal conditions.

Dry needling is NOT acupuncture, a non-science-based procedure that’s concerned with altering the “flow of energy” for the treatment of disease and ailments. Rather, dry needling is a modern, science-based intervention for the treatment of pain and dysfunction.

Commonly treated conditions

Dry needling has been proven in effectively treating conditions such as:

  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Shin Splints
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Headaches
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Shoulder Impingement
  • Tennis Elbow

How does dry needling help me manage pain?

Oftentimes, dry needling will be used alongside other treatments, such as manipulation, to help restore mobility, reduce pain and put a client back on track toward a life of improved function. Contact us today to get started!

Dr. Johnson and his staff go above and beyond to help all their patients! In a short period of time my pain level has lessened more than 75%!!! I enthusiastically recommend Next Generation for any PT needs! Dry Needling was a huge part of the reason for improvement in my overall health.

These guys are amazing! I’ve been battling a chronic leg/foot pain issue for over six months now and Dr. Jacob used Dry Needling on my leg. After just two treatments I’m FINALLY getting relief that nothing else would fix. I’d been to a medical doctor, a podiatrist, and massage therapy with no long term relief prior to starting PT. Highly recommend NGPT!!!
